Playstation 3 Firmware 3.0 Review
In this video, I give a quick review and overview of firmware 3.0 on the Playstation 3. This firmware was released late August 31, 2009 to the masses and has received mixed reactions so far. It includes a revamped "What's New" section, a brand new "tiled" interface, a new status area, a revamped friends list, and support for dynamic/animated themes. Most of the changes are visual and cosmetic, but I believe the new tiled interface should be spread throughout the entire interface. On the downside, I believe the friends list changes stick out like a sore thumb. They don't match the look and feel of the rest of XMB. Overall, firmware 3.0 takes the Playstation 3 another step closer to the ultimate experience. There are some other obstacles to overcome, but they are certainly attainable. Congratulations Sony on a successful release.

nope. i've had firmware 3.0 for months and my ps3 works better.
no it doesnt give you ylod ..it has nothing to do with the firmware it happens when it overheats

Give the Firmware Problems on the PS3 Slim ?
It seems to be that the ps3 slim for some reason is downloading everything extreemly slowly. Normally I can download uptp five torrent movies overnight but the ps2 took that long and was still working at 11am the next day on 4 demo game, what is up with that?? I I switched over from wired to wireless and the speed almost doubles ( checked Interner settings download speed on the XMB) could something be wrong in the driver for the ethernet?
How then bitch, ever time your on the net n press the ps buttion it does not bring up the xmb it say do you want to quit playback???

I'm not gonna support anything that fucks up my system. I have done no damage to my PS3 and it keeps crashing EVERY game. Either the game crashes itself or if I open the in game XMB it crashes.
