i agree my xbox 360 is my alarm clock and my ps3 is my games consoles

100% price drop would be real nice

i agree, the 360 is hella loud, in fact so loud that it bugs me during gameplay

Jon, the PS3 sounds like a hairdryer when you stick a disc in. Noticably louder than the phat. I don't even think it's any quieter playing games, either.

I had the phat, then it broke on me. Had the slim for 2 months and only look at it with a sad respect. The slim is louder AND still crashes like the phat. Sony had 3 years to make this slim better. They failed.

the truth is they both have the same graphic.i have both and i dnt really see the diffrence between both.but i perfer the the ps3 bcuz you can do more with it then xbox and is less likey to over heat and abt the game both have pretty cool games

Yes I do care about the noise when i spend a lot of time & money to acoustically improve my home theatre/music room. What's the point of having reference loudspeakers & an audiophile ear if it's just going to be drowned out by electronic fan noise! Yes I'm an audiophile & ps3 slim doesn't cut it!

I love the matte finish, it looks much more simple and the matte feels MUCH more reassuring (no fingerprints, scratches, etc..phew!) I love my slim ^^

I have a fat PS2, i have had it for about 1 and a half year, but im gonna buy the slim if it brakes, but how long will the slim be in the stores? please reply! im allready having a few issues with my PS3..

Quiet? NOT! Maybe your deaf 'cuz in my dedicated home theatre/music room(yes it's acoustically treated) all 5 ps3 slim I tried & returned(albeit Bestbuy & Futureshop wasn't happy) were putting out as much as 60 decibels(I have an SPL meter) on silent passages in the middle of a movie. Well, guess I'll order the oppo bdp-83.

hey i have the slim and it flickers on my 47LH40 LG tv only at 1080p why is that…could it be the hdmi cable? because my 60GB PS3 never did that only the slim since i got it several days ago..please reply

i think you should make the choice because everyone is obviously going to say modern warfare 2

i got the fat ps3 for 3 years but it had the ylod so im getting the ps3 slim i hope it last way longer
